Scarecrow

Scarecrow is set in medieval fantasy. Starlin (the kingdom) is run by a wicked man. He fears magic but at the same time uses it for his own personal meanings. He kills and hunts down magical beings with the help of the Ghosts. The only personal connection he has with the main character is that he slaughtered her parents. (Well that's what they will think for now) Anyways magic built the kingdom literally and he turned his words around banning magic from existence. Ruby poses as a causal assassin for the king until she can get proof of what she realizes. She always thought her gift was different, however, she always associated it with being mediocre. However, when fate itself steps in she realizes that she is the form of nature itself. AKA mother nature. She is the only one who can take down the kingdom. Using this new found power, she takes down the kingdom and (the rules state that anyone who overcomes the king/queen is there out identified as the next king/queen) She then realizes that she herself is queen. (A smile spreads across her face as she realizes this) And now its time for payback...:)

Modern Medieval Times. However magic is the main use here even though it's banned. It doesn't help that 70% of the population is actually magical beings or born of magical blood.
