Ire Meditivism
"Meditives"
"Chaotics"
Loose, anarchistic monotheism that believes in Chaos ruling the universe
Appeared sometime during the Age of Worm. No religious texts mention its fruition.
Eventually, all of life will cease in the universe. Only then will we be redeemed and Chaos will take its rightful place.
Their Supreme Being is called the Mad Goddess (or the Redeemer) and she is generally seen as a wrathful matriarch trying to fix Humanity's desecration of her realm.
Everything will return to chaos.
Entropy is good
Chaos and destruction of man-made objects redeems humanity of their sins.
Uninhabitable or uncolonized planets are worshipped from orbit.
Space anomalies and blackholes are also worshipped from a distance.
Long morning prayers are usually held when the entire family wakes up. No organized services are held outside of each individual family.
Meditivists usually do not bath, use contraception, or modern medicine.
Meditivists believe in the Chaos. The best description is all matter being cast into a spiritual whirlpool of fire that the Mad Goddess stirs for eternity.
Morning prayers involve the family gathering around their Matriarch and praying. The Matriarch will sing a series of syllables (whatever Chaos tells her to) during this prayer. The prayer ends when the Matriarch begins to seize (the Redeemer cleansing her) and the first to catch the Matriarch from falling will be given a blessing for the day.
They do not have strict holidays, though some groups may commemorate certain events.
There is no initiation, though the newcomer will be expected to shun the outside world for quite sometime before being accepted into a family.
