Seldra
Immortal creatures, a branch of the fair folk but more powerful.
There is no set body shape, they all look different.
Skin colors range in diversity but stay within human skin colors.
They are generally taller, but it all depends on genetics. The average height for a grown male can land between 5'11" to 6'4" and an average height of a grown female would be from 5'6" to 5'10"
The average weight for a grown male ranges from 145lbs to 170lbs, it simply depends on their training, genetics, and what their occupation is. The average weight for a female is 120lbs to 150lbs, it again depends on their genetics, training, and occupation.
Pointed ears that sit close to their heads. Unlike the Fair Folks animal features, Seldra has the ability to shift into an entirely different animal form. Each person has one they can shift to.
Greatly diverse. Seldra Fae are all over the world, so there is no set skin tone or physical attributes.
Tunics, trousers, cloaks, for both men and women. Women of higher status tend to dress in more elegant gowns, women of lower status wear thinner dresses.
Unlike the Fae, Seldra can wield any type of magic, stemming from the five elements. Fire, air, water, ice, and earth. There are also sub-elementals, such as the power to control light, darkness, and the power to wield any type of magic, called raw magic. Then there's bodily magic. Healers, shapeshifters, body-breakers. Shapeshifters have the power to change their appearance at will. Death-bringers have the ability to control another's body and mind, for good or bad. Seldra are immortal. They are incredibly loyal.
Suspectable to iron. Their magic makes them feared, which made them hunted. They are incredibly loyal, this can be both a strength and a weakness. They are loyal to a point where they can forget to think of themselves in situations of danger.
The celebrate Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Lithia, Lammas, Mabon, and Samhan. After girls first bleeding, there is commonly a celebration that follows, as she has taken her first step into womanhood.
They believe in the gods and goddesses, they believe in mates or a partner for life.
Cast aside and hated by the Fair Folk, Seldra find themselves living amongst the humans, so they fall into whatever government is holding power over the country they live in. But in the kingdoms where Seldra Fae still rule, they believe in constitutional monarchy.
Ever since magic was outlawed in Endora at least, Seldra hide amongst taking human jobs. But places where magic is still allowed, Seldra use their power for almost anything. Shapeshifters are usually placed into royal courts as spies. Death-bringers usually find themselves employed in royal armies or in the dungeons being used for torture. Some find themselves as royal assassins. Seldra with healing powers usually stick to healing. Seldra with earth powers can find jobs helping healers with herbs and other plant-based medicines, or can find themselves a job in the gardens. Some still choose to have a humane job such as bakers, writers, singers, artists, or trainers.
They use coins, as humans do. Silver, copper, and gold.
They tend to stay away from meat, but it's not as big of a deal, as most find themselves employed as warriors meat is a necessity in diets. But fruit is still loved. They tend to have a bit of a sweet tooth as well.
When they became hunted in Endora. When Sansora fell, a Seldra stronghold, many had to flee from Endora, and many died.
