Changeling

Race of people who can change appearance to human-like races.

Changelings are a race of humanoids that can change their appearance to human-like races (elf, dwarf, human, etc). They can change skin tone, shape of their features, height, and size. All changes are physical (not magical), and have limits.

Changelings are all biologically female. While they can change their physical form to match gender, they are unable to father children. Therefore, they must breed with similar humanoid races to procreate.

Changelings typically live in "pods", which is a changeling version of a family. They raise children in a pod, and function as one. A pod typically consists of 3-8 adults, and 2-4 children.

When a pod reaches a large size, members will typically break up and create a new pod, venturing out in life.

A changeling without a pod is lost, and has a hard time functioning.
