Skiturgil
Reptilian in appearance, yet can be described as warm blooded.
Large spikes on the back - to humans, this is a completely new concept never observed before. The spines actually function as an organ, though they have a hard outer shell (thus this does not cause them pain if they brush up against something.) Spikes curved upwards, not downwards; rows of two and will generally have six of them as average with the top two being the largest. These organs function as being able to conduct electricity - without these, they would not survive on their home planet.
Much smaller spikes on back as well.
Four ‘needles’ in mouth, these are features only females have. Needles used to inject a paralysis toxin into the body of prey.
Split jaws (male only.)
Blunter, shorter face, albeit a bit longer than a humans however. Doesn’t look like a human at all in terms of facial features however.
Dark scales - often shades of pink or purple, close to black however.
Females are generally larger than males, although this is not a rule - some males, such as Kin Tuntir have been extremely large, though it should be noted that Kin is Old World, and his size caused him limitations later on in life, as well as the fact that Kin was abnormal.
Split or non split jaws. Former being a male feature, latter is female.
Electricity resistant clothing, made from materials native to their planet (typically) but as they learned more about space started to find stuff off planet too.
Tall, athletic. Even if the individual does not have a body shape described as ‘athletic,’ they still have plenty of muscle.
Darker shades of scales - blues, pinks, purples, etc. Lighter skin colours for actual skin.
Females 8ft avg
Males 7’5” avg.
Abnormality - in which case they are born with an active gene called the A Gene by Terrans (their scientists refuse to disclose too much information to humans about this condition)
The A gene may or may not be beneficial. In recorded cases, it has been beneficial short term, but long term it ends up being fatal. EG Kin Tuntir, who was worshipped as a Lord due to his immense height and size, but died below the average age of death because his skeleton was not strong enough and his body was unable to produce the needed nutrients to fuel his body.
Active A genes typically die young.
Yan Tuntir, a granddaughter of Kin Tuntir was born but lived for barely a week due to the fact she was born without the proper electricity resistant organs. The Tuntir family had an unusually high amount of active A genes, though as the New World Era began these A genes would eventually become less common in the Tuntir family.
It should be noted that both males and females have an equal chance of getting an active A gene, however the chance is still small either way.
AVG. life span is 1000 years, can go above. Old World life span was 700 years.
Kin Tuntir, an Old World Abnormal died at 234.
