The most notable features of Setsunian would be their pale skin and their monolid eyes.
There isn't much variance in Setsunians because Setsuna is a fairly isolated place. The only thing that changes would be the facial structure and even then, it doesn't change much.
Setsunians wear long fur-lined robes and coats to keep away the chill and express their family heritage with the embroidery on the front.
This race is especially resilient to lack of food and can survive longer than others without it. Setsunians also gain a strong sense of discipline from a young age.
Setsunians are not naturally muscular because of their thin physique, and they also are very sensitive to foreign disease.
Setsunian individuals often herd seals or yaks as a way to feed their family. They rarely kill the animals, often only using the yaks milk and butter to create their meals. Once a cycle, a sacrifice must be made toward Marisha-ten, so they use a seal to create their holy meal. Some Setsunian individuals are farmers in the mountains. They farm poisonous and bitter potatoes that can only grow in the cold arid climate. They proceed to grind up the potatoes in order to make tem more appetizing and they trade them to families in the rest of Setsuna. In Setsusna's capital there are seamstresses who make fine dresses out of silk from silk worms. There are newspapers and libraries. Most families don't have the luxury of being educated or having such fine clothes since the capital is considerably more profitable than other towns.
The Setsunian government is similar to a monarchy except for its succession. In Setsuna, women become the rulers and men become the advisors. The ruler is chosen through the ceremony of frost where every women competing to be ruler is put to sleep and buried in the snow on the high mountains. Whoever makes it down the slopes alive becomes the ruler and anybody else earns a seat beside her. Although this feat may seem impossible to many other nations, the women who comes down the slope first is changed from a women to a queen and she no longer acts the wat she did before. Whatever happens on that slope is a secret, one that the new queen must bear.
The common belief held by Setsunians is that isolation is equivalent to peace. They don't like outsiders or getting mixed up in outsider affairs. They also believe that family is the most important thing in life. They believe in respecting all others and don't believe in discrimination by gender, social class, or age.
