Noxi

Noxi is a power that draws from the demons of old. It uses pacts with ancient beings ofalien realms from a forgotten time to gain Ist. Similar to Alths, Noxi gets its power from Other realms or spirits, but Noxi magic is in general a lot more malevolent than Alths, and it draws most of it’s power from the Abyss realms rather than the beings that reside in them. Also, contrast to Alths, the practisers of Noxi can come into physical contact with the spirits they draw their power from, even summon them or combine them into the practisers being. Noxi has 3 paths that can be followed, each allowing for different abilities. These demons can appear in many forms, but often have association with fire and hellscapes, sometimes taking the form of knights, devils or other nightmarish abomination. Often, users of Noxi can become corrupted, especially asthey become more powerful. To prevent the character from becoming completely insane and becoming a demon, many use this power in conjunction with Alths, which is Holy magic, to prevent them from getting affected by Noxi. This means that a lot of Noxi users can retain their sanity and still use this power, which gives them fiery appearances. A completely corrupted Noxi user is effectively dead to the Player's point of view, becoming an Apostle to the Abyss realms, a super powerful demon that roams the mortal or Abyss realms, looking for nothing but power and chaos. Resisting the influence of the Abyss Realms without outside help can depend on willpower score, and a powerful enough demon can cause a willpower leech on it’s users.
