Sorcery

Sorcery is a type of magic that is inherited - most often from parents who were also had mastery of some form of magic. It is not uncommon for wizards and warlocks especially to give birth to children with sorcery powers, as either the years spent studying magic or the pact they made to attain their powers can be passed on to the next generation. Some can also obtain these powers from parents who were simply present for great magical events, or were otherwise infused with magical power during their lifetimes, and some of it is even related to dragons.

Depending on the origin of this power it manifests very differently - dragon sorcerers grow scales along their bodies, while those descended from aasimar or tieflings with magical powers tend to manifest healing and related elemental magics, and so on.
