Jora's Woods

On the southwestern side of the little island that houses the city of Orin sits Jora's Woods, so named for the Guardian Jora who made herself at home there after establishing The Noctis Swords inside the city.

She chose to remain in the forest, keeping it safe and allowing people to visit. Everyone knew not to enter the forest without permission, and especially not to hunt there, lest they risk the Guardian's wrath.

In the years since The Collapse, however, the forest had begun to fail. The trees are sickly and dying, and the whole area seems bathed in a strange mist that most won't dare go near. The few with the guts to try and hunt the creatures that once took shelter in the forest under the Guardian's protection have not been seen since, lending to the idea that even in death Jora protects her forest.
