The Pyrrian Banner is a holdover from the days in which the city was named after Pyrri, the figure in Hestian mythology. The old banner was an image of Pyrri, throwing pebbles into the sea, in accordance with the Hestian myth. After it was conquered by the Splinterlanders, the banner was slightly honored. Pyrri was changed to Pyrrh, who was male but had long hair like Pyrri. The pebbles they threw into the sea were changed into seeds being thrown into the soil, to be more fitting with Pyrri´s title as God of Harvest.
