The Ruins

The first location in the underground, home to Froggits, Whimsuns, Vegetoids and obviously the one and only Toriel. It primarily consists of the colours purple, the different shades. You can find the faded ribbon and the toy knife in the ruins, one in the switch puzzle, and one if you continue straight onwards instead of turning off into Toriel's house, leading people to guess that this is where patience fell down and died. You go through several puzzles before reaching Toriel's house, the lady herself admitting to having a surprise ready for you. Depending on what choice you make, she will give you a cinnamon-butterscotch pie or a butterscotch-cinnamon. If you are on hard mode, however, you get snail pie, which heals all hp take away one compared to the usual full hp. When you leave the room Toriel have you, you have to make a choice. Stay with her and halt your journey, or leave the ruins and progress. If you try to leave, she will try to stop you, in a fight. You have to spare her, constantly, even if her name is not yellow/pink. Getting under 2HP will make her attacks all move away from you, disallowing you to die to her, unless you're really bad at the game
