The Night Walker’s
Wondrous Item
Crafted by Silver Artisan Zahira Moonforge, these boots are imbued with the dark power of a bound Nightwalker from the Shadowfell. Known as The Night Walker’s, the item allows the wearer to draw upon the Nightwalker’s formidable abilities, but at great risk. If the boots are ever destroyed, the Nightwalker will be unleashed.

Made from dark, supple leather that seems to absorb nearby shadows, the boots faintly shimmer with an eerie energy. They are marked with Zahira Moonforge’s signature, intricately engraved in silver thread that is almost invisible unless closely inspected.

Zahira Moonforge created The Night Walker’s by binding a Nightwalker within, harnessing the creature’s powers. Legends warn that the destruction of these boots would release the Nightwalker onto the Material Plane, potentially causing widespread chaos.
- Annihilating Aura (1 charge): The wearer can activate an aura in a 30-foot radius, dealing 21 (6d6) necrotic damage to creatures who fail a DC 15 Constitution saving throw at the start of their turn. Lasts 1 minute.
- Finger of Doom (1 charge): As an action, the wearer targets a creature within 60 feet. The target takes 26 (4d12) necrotic damage and becomes frightened (DC 15 Wisdom save, lasts 1 minute).
- Incorporeal Movement (1 charge): The wearer can move through objects or creatures as difficult terrain for 1 minute. If they end their turn inside an object, they take 5 (1d10) force damage.
Life Eater: If the wearer dies while attuned, their body and soul are consumed by the Nightwalker within the boots, preventing resurrection by any means short of a Wish spell. The Nightwalker absorbs the wearer’s essence, binding it to its own dark power.
