Whispering Longbow
Weapon (Longbow)
A longbow crafted from darkwood with ghostly, ethereal qualities. Intricate carvings of leaves and vines run along its limbs, with softly glowing green and blue runes. A silver, spectral string shimmers with each draw, producing a soft hum that resembles a whisper in the wind.

Some say the bow’s whispers are the voices of past wielders, guiding the archer’s aim.
Quiver Compatibility: The Whispering Longbow is the only bow that can fire arrows from the Verdant Quiver;
Whispering Strike: Once per short rest, the Whispering Longbow can unleash a Whispering Strike, causing the next arrow fired to deal an additional 2d6 psychic damage. This strike is accompanied by a ghostly, whispering sound that distracts and unnerves the target, giving them disadvantage on their next attack roll.
1d8 + Dexterity modifier (standard longbow damage for Whispering Longbow);
Requires attunement by a Ranger.
Binding Teleport can be triggered as a bonus action immediately after firing an arrow from the bow.
Teleportation is instant upon activation.
Shared 4-use limit with Inversing Strike, regaining 1d4 charges at dawn.
• Set Item: The Whispering Longbow is one part of the Wayfarer’s Bind set, which includes the Verdant Quiver, Shifting Blade, and Living Sheath.
• Unified Attunement: Attuning to any piece of the Wayfarer’s Bind automatically attunes the full set, requiring only one attunement slot. This synchronized attunement enhances the connection between the items and their wielder.
• Set Synergy: When the full set is attuned, the Ranger gains extended teleportation range and extra damage with the Shifting Blade after teleportation. The set’s combined magic also gives the Ranger a spectral, nature-bound presence.
