Serit
The most prominent currency on Serus. It was initially created as a sort of proxy currency to facilitate international trade, but eventually caught on in many places to the point of being adopted on a more mundane basis. While there are still plenty of holdouts, the serit is recognized and circulated in most major countries. About ten serits is the average price of a meal for one.
While credit cards, virtual wallets, and other forms of digital payment are far more common, physical serits are still minted in the form of bills. Different values bear distinct colors, as well as slightly different lengths for accessibility reasons.
One serit is further divided into 100 sens, which take the form of various coins. One sen coins are incredibly rare nowadays, with most businesses preferring to round prices to the nearest five sens for simplicity.
