You'll Need The Following


  • 3 pounds of potatoes

  • 4 tablespoons of butter

  • 2 cups of shredded cheese

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 3 pounds of ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of thyme

  • 1 teaspoon of rosemary

  • 1 teaspoon of sage

  • 1 pound of carrots, sliced

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic

  • 1 pound of peas

Cooking Instructions


  1. Put your potatoes in a pot with enough water to cover them and boil until tender, usually 10-15 minutes. You can slice them up or peel them depending on your preference, but as they'll be mashed in the end it doesn't really matter.

  2. While the potatoes are boiling put the beef in the pan with the salt, thyme, rosemary, and sage. Break it up however you like and turn the heat to medium. Once the pan starts sizzling with the meat put a cover on it and cook for 10 minutes.

  3. Next slice up the carrots and onion and mix it in a bowl with the minced garlic and peas. Once the meat is done scoop it out of the pan but don't drain it - just throw the veggies into it and use the fat to cook them exactly like you did the beef.

  4. By now the potatoes should be done so drain them, mash them up, and throw in the butter, shredded cheese, and milk so you have nice, creamy mashed potatoes.

  5. Once the veggies are done cooking throw the beef back in and stir it all together. Layer the potatoes on top, then eat and enjoy!
