You'll Need The Following
- 2 pounds of ground beef
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons of onion powder
- 2 teaspoons of a dry rub seasoning for meat
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 8oz button mushrooms, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
- 1/2 a pound of pasta
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 24oz of pizza sauce
- 2 cups of bacon bits
- 32oz of shredded mozzarella
- 1 package of pepperoni
- 1 can of sliced black olives
- 1 can of pineapple chunks
Cooking Instructions
- Start with your pasta, put it in a pot and add enough water to cover. Add 1 teaspoon salt and bring the water to a boil, then put a lid on it and let it cook; we do for 10 minutes, but whatever way you cook your pasta is just as valid.
- Now put the beef in a pan, add the garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoning mix and turn the heat to high. Once it starts to sizzle turn the heat down to medium, put a lid on it, and let cook for 10 minutes.
- While the beef is cooking chop the onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms.
- When the beef is done use a slotted spoon or some other method to remove it from the pan but keep the liquid. Your pasta should be done and drained by now, mix the beef with the pasta.
- In the same pan with the beef juice add the onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, black olives, and minced garlic. Turn the heat on high and when the liquid starts sizzling turn it down and let that cook for 5 minutes or until the veggies are heated through.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees while the veggies are heating, and when they're done mix it all back in with the beef and pasta, then throw it all in a 13x9 baking pan prepped for the oven (butter/cooking spray/whatever).
- Add the pizza sauce, bacon bits, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, black olives, and pineapple on top then bake for 10 minutes and enjoy!
Now obviously, the toppings are subjective. You could keep it straight vegetarian, add sausage or slices of ham or whatever else, take off the pineapple (I know, controversial ingredient on pizzas but I like it okay?) or olives. Basically however you like your pizza just swap out the toppings and you're good to go ^
