What becomes of a nascent portal after an exit has been found.
Appearance
It looks like a dimensional rip in space, in the shape of a stretched ellipse, floating off the ground. The edges of the portal are frayed, like the ends are stringy. The inside of the portal is dark and cannot be seen through. The portal will always be facing the observer.
