Order (Concealed Control)
• Public View: Followers revere Asmodeus as a god of Order, believing he brings stability, unity, and protection through structured guidance. They view his influence as a force of harmony that fosters strength within their society.
• Hidden Truth: Beneath this facade, Control is Asmodeus’ true aim. His “order” enforces obedience, turning followers into loyal subjects who unknowingly further his agenda, all while cloaked in the promise of stability.
2. Judgment (Concealed Tyranny)
• Public View: Asmodeus is worshiped as a just and wise judge, dispensing Judgment to protect his followers from chaos and corruption. His followers see him as a fair arbiter, purifying and guiding them through disciplined justice.
• Hidden Truth: In reality, his judgment masks Tyranny. His sense of justice is authoritarian, designed to maintain absolute control and quash dissent, transforming discipline into oppression.
3. Strength (Concealed Domination)
• Public View: Followers admire Asmodeus for the Strength he instills in them, believing he empowers them to overcome challenges and build a stronger, unified community. His clergy preach resilience and fortitude as divine virtues.
• Hidden Truth: Beneath this ideal, Domination is his true goal. Asmodeus’ “strength” binds followers to his will, gradually shifting their loyalty from self-empowerment to unquestioning subservience, all under the guise of empowerment.
Asmodeus, a demon plotting true godhood, advances his plan through Grand High Priest Kroak. Using Kroak’s advisor, the warden of the Holy Battalion (secretly Asmodeus’ cleric), he convinced Kroak to create the deity Virdrak, establishing worship with the Ruby Rod as its idol. To keep Kroak invested, Asmodeus grants him small bursts of power, reinforcing Kroak’s belief in his path to divinity. Meanwhile, every act of worship channels strength to Asmodeus, bringing him closer to his ultimate goal of ascension, with Kroak unknowingly fueling the demon’s rise.
Worship of Asmodeus involves rituals for discipline, order, and “cleansing” of impurities. These practices foster loyalty and obedience, unwittingly channeling devotion to his darker nature.
