Fire is known to be quite destructive, and of the four primary elements is often the one people associate with most negatively.

But fire is cleansing - some plants only thrive in the wake of wildfires. Sometimes burning away dead tissue is the best way to deal with it. Fire provides warmth and safety when used correctly, warding off animals and allowing food to be cooked. People just often forget that.
