The Unicorn Queen

While once unicorns fell under the rule of Larissa, that changed when the moon goddess bore a child. With a unicorn as the father, the child was mystical and beautiful, full of the blessings of the moon and magic.

As is customary the infant was placed with the clergy, and raised in a temple dedicated to her mother - though she did not know that growing up, believing herself to be the offspring of one of the priestesses instead.

Unicorns were always drawn to her, even as a baby, and Anamika grew up well. She always showed kindness first, fighting only when necessary and clearly having inherited that from her mother. When she became an adult Larissa came to her, telling her the truth and offering her a choice; take over the portfolio of unicorns and other intelligent beasts as she was raised to the status of a god, or continue to live as a mortal.

Anamika accepted the offer, and took over those portfolios from her mother. Now she spends her time among the unicorns, looking after them as they did for her in her mortal life, and defending them and their charges with everything she has.
