Enti

"enn-tee"
Enti are giant beetle-like insects, as tall as a medium-sized dog, that are commonly found in the same general areas as reptin Atherians. They have round, dark blue exoskeletons, six black legs, and a large horn at the front that they use to attack would-be predators or dig burrows in the sand.
An enti's exoskeleton contains natural Ice Magic, which makes it cool to the touch and helps keep the animal comfortable in the searing heat of the desert.
Enti travel in herds and are primarily herbivorous, feasting on cactuses using their durable mandibles.
Reptins make heavy use of enti hide in their tunnels, using it to fashion anything from tools to the lining of walls. They even provide a nutritious source of food.
