Corpse Dangler

Shapechangers with a taste for flesh, they are so named for their habit of killing their prey, feasting on them, and then stringing up the desiccated remains in trees. A pack of Corpse Danglers will then shift their appearance to match that of their prey, and hide among the dangling bodies hoping to lure in either concerned adventurers or beasts looking for an easy meal. Most unsettlingly, the things seem to only be able to communicate via the mimicked screams of pain and terror from individuals they've encountered. If they get close enough to touch you, little mouths will open up at the tips of each of their fingers, all screaming in their own chorus of nightmare voices. The Corpse Dangler then thrusts its hands against the victim's ears, unleashing a psychic force from the finger-mouths.
