Cullen

A mix of plains, grassy hills, and rocky coastlines that border the sea, Cullen is a traditionally Southern country, mixed with a new culture and pride of their traditions and nation.

Cullen has a strict caste system integrated into the social day-to-day and the laws of the nation.

Cullen uses the same currency as both Theostan and Wilsow, which is the common mull, the bronze bit, and the gold and silver bit.

Cullen architecture is inspired by regency period english architecture, Tudor architecture, and Spanish architecture.

The nation of Cullen stretches from the Ander Sea to the middle of the valley land, up to the Northern Vatish clan lands, and down to the Rana Mountains. It is about 400 sq miles.

The most common crops are corn, potatoes, yams, wheat, and beans.

Cullen, named after the founder Alfrendo Cullen the Second, was a section of the southern country of Lidros after the 2nd son of the King Samson rebelled from the "corrupt" King Samson the 1st, and traveled north with an army and a series of followers, where they went over the mountains and into the valley lands of the Vatish people who were in the midst of a civil war between the major clans in the region.

The nation of Cullen was estbalished in the year 203 E.D., nearly 400 years ago.

Cullen has been in two wars, including the "Founding War" which is the war of inhabitation when the Cullen founders invaded the north and took over the Western lands. The second part of the "Founding War", called the "Defense of the West", was the skirmish between the Cullen and Theostanese forces both invading the same area. The second, though technically a war, is not considered one in a way to 'save face', was the Vatish War, where the "last stand" of the Vatish people tried to attack a weakened capital right after the ending of the "Founding War", trying to free the slaves held there and killing the King. While Kind Cullen was killed, the capital was not taken, and a historical grievance was created. A slang term for Vatish slaves specially in the capital Agathan is "Cullen'mar", or Cullen killer.
