Erika
villain
i will likely change her name
female
35 (she was born around the same time and ikaika and zakiya but she didn't time travel. they were all around the same age when they worked together, but she's older than them now)
6'0"
ectomorph, tall and thin
latina
olive/tan
145
black
short ponytail
dark brown
maybe a horizontal scar across her neck
tends to wear mostly black, usually suits
good in some ways, bad in others
very physically healthy, eats healthy, exercises, takes care of herself, doesn't get quite enough sleep because of how busy she is
learns/teaches herself new things when whenever she has the time, achieves goals she sets, productive, very confidant in herself, highly intelligent, calm in stressful situations, responsible, makes good decisions
deals with stress by either confronting the issue or accepting/ignoring it, if she can't accept or ignore a feeling, she keeps herself busy so she doesn't have to think about it (she isn't always able to do this and it can wear at her, but she refuses to give up and stop what she's doing)
most of her relationships are formed with the goal of getting something out of them, usually a way to secure her power and control over the federation, she doesn't like depending people and she can't share a lot because she needs to keep a lot of things secret, so she doesn't have much of a support system and doesn't anyone she can be 100% open with
charismatic, good at making people feel comfortable around her and open up (only if she wants them to, otherwise she can be kind of intimidating)
ENTJ-A
assertive, strategic, intelligent, logical, analytical, objective, does what she believes is right/best even if she doesn't want to do it (logic over feelings), organized, responsible, goal oriented, ambitious, active, decisive, influential, confident, focused, strong willed, calculating, persuasive and manipulative, can put on a persona to manipulate people, efficient, productive, thick skinned, stubborn (if she thinks she's right about something nothing will get her to change),
natural leader, charismatic, can be insensitive if she doesn't see merit in why someone is upset, strict as a leader but not rude, more laid back in casual situations, generally nicer to people than you'd expect (not out of the kindness of her heart or anything, people are easier to manipulate if they like you), prefers to be liked as a leader but is fine with making people scared of her if it works better, can seem intimidating at first but is easy to talk to, nice until you get on her bad side
very still when she's nervous/scared/uncomfortable to prevent any nervous tics showing vulnerability, good posture, speaks clearly, holds eye contact, crosses arms or puts hands in pockets
very stubborn, can be insensitive, arrogant, cares more about being logically right than anything else, not a great listener, thinks she's always right
thinks she always knows what's going on so she can be caught off guard by an unpredictable plan
it reminds me of the one scene of the one episode of sherlock i watched where moriarty was criticizing sherlock for thinking he knew moriarty's "super complex and intelligent plan" but it was actually really simple and he completely missed it
loss of autonomy/not being in control, being wrong about something she's committed to
she started out wanting to secure the galaxy's freedom, but when she realized that would be almost impossible, she started working with the federation. she knows it isn't great, but her goal is to keep it under her control to prevent it from being as bad as it could be
she believes that at some point, there will be a government to take over a decent portion of the galaxy, and if she has control over the one that does, she can keep it from being too bad
thinks she's smarter than everyone else (similar to ikaika)
not sure if it goes in this category but i'll just put it here
she doesn't really value/care about people as individuals but cares about people as a whole. the trolley problem would be no issue for her at all; she would switch the track and kill the one to save the group without hesitation or regret
leadership, decision making, problem solving, manipulation, combat
great with electronics, cybernetics, robots, just about anything that falls into STEM, quick and dedicated learner so she can be good at a wide range of things if she chooses to be
practicing martial arts, doesn't always fit into her schedule but she also likes working on electronics/robots/other inventions or improving other devices
she went to private schools for gifted kids elementary-high school, and she went to the equivalent of an ivy league college
she showed signs of intelligence at a young age, and when it was time for her to start school, her parents sent her to a private school for gifted children. she developed an interest in science and history that stuck with her throughout her education. she liked being in charge of things, and she was almost always the leader of group projects and part of the student council.
she focused on studying cybernetics in college, but she also took some political history classes. she was interested in the patterns history followed and inspired by great leaders of the past.
she got a job not long after she graduated, developing cybernetic technology, and became a star employee. her work became known across the scientific community.
she was approached by people looking to recruit her to in a resistance against the planetary federation, a group uniting planets across the galaxy. she had seen what the federation was doing and noticed that it was similar to the start of dictatorships and other bad governments she had studied, but she hadn't thought about fighting against it. she took time to think about it, eventually deciding to join the group and hoping she could become like the great leaders she admired.
she worked well with the group. she did various different things for them, but her main job was as the leader. they were successful in freeing planets from the federation, but erika was one of the few of them that checked back on planets after they were liberated. she saw that while some planets were able to return to what they were before the federation, some, especially the ones that had been part of the federation for a while, were taken over by governments even worse than the federation. at first, she was able to live with it, telling herself that the goal was to stop the federation, not make every planet perfect, but it kept happening, and she couldn't ignore it.
she knew the federation wasn't necessarily great, but they weren't as bad as they could be, and some of the governments that took over planets freed from the federation were far worse. she betrayed her team and became a double agent, working with the federation to find a way to get rid of ikaika and his team. she didn't actually want to hurt her friends, but she was willing to do what it took to gain the trust of the federation's leaders.
they knew they wouldn't be able to kill all of them, so they made a plan to teleport them near the black hole at the center of the galaxy. even if they did find a way to get back, time dilation would mean they would be gone for a decent amount of time. government agents attacked the team, and erika told them to go through a portal to get somewhere safe. she destroyed the portal once the rest of the team was through, and it was eight years before they came back.
in that time, she rose in the ranks with the federation, eventually becoming part of the inner circle. she was confident in her ability to manipulate some of the other people, but not all of them. those people died under mysterious circumstances. the people in the inner circle think they share power, but erika has almost all of it (she still listens to them to get multiple views on an issue and because there are instances in which they know a better way to handle something, but she has the final say on things). for her own safety, she doesn't want the public knowing she leads the federation, so she poses as the bodyguard of one of other "leaders," so she can attend meetings, summits, etc. without being questioned.
ikaika, zakiya, and the surviving government overthrowing team members know erika leads the federation, but other than them, no one, not even her friends and family, know the truth about what she does.
she isn't particularly into leading a government that takes over planets all across the galaxy, but she knows that even if this one is taken down, there's going to be another group to try the same thing later on. she'd rather be in charge of a questionable government than risk another, even worse government taking over.
she grew up in a small city, upper middle class family
planet: ison
system: cyphera
galactic arm: edisa
not relevant to the story i just wanna clarify that she does not have the stereotypical dead parents they are very alive
also not relevant but she has one younger sibling, she has older sibling vibes
she's not super close with them because she doesn't really value family. she's also pretty emotionally unavailable and she can't be honest about her job. she sees them every now and then, and they have a decent relationship, but they're less close than the average family.
for the story she has to have technology on par with ikaika's but she's nowhere near as reckless as he is and so i needed a valid reason for her to have bionic limbs and this is kinda extreme but it works with her character so...
from what she saw with ikaika, bionic limbs are way more functional than normal limbs
she wouldn't lose limbs on her own or sustain major injuries like he did because she's much more careful but she saw that bionic limbs were superior and because she goes with the logically best option i think she would get limbs amputated and replaced
if i do go with this that is very badass and i would be scared of her
[pretty much a copy/paste from ikaika's page with some small edits, i'll add more when i actually start writing her]
bionic arms (both)
-stronger and more functional than the real things
-can be turned into weapons (nothing too crazy but still very much lethal)
bionic legs (both)
-also stronger and more functional than the real things
-great at absorbing impact (jump off a building and it won't hurt [up to a point])
improved vision
-can see in the dark
-can zoom in on things
improved hearing
-can make hearing more sensitive with mental command
-can hear below 20hz and above 20,000hz
faster reflexes
skin
-her bionic limbs look real and the "skin" can absorb kinetic energy from taking hits and keep her from being hurt
-her real skin is tougher and laced with some kinda thing that can shock whatever is touching him that she doesn't want
bones (the real ones, some have been replaced with a stronger metal) are strengthened with metal
tech that has her heart working better than a normal one (better blood flow, more oxygen, leads to better endurance)
can safely send a ton of electricity through her limbs and use it as a weapon or as an electromagnet
if she activates it, she has some kinda force field thing that can stop bullets
has a recording device in her arm or whatever that she can activate with a mental command, great for blackmailing
her relationships with specific current friends aren't relevant to the story but past relationships are
when she's working she's much more orderly and put together, but when she's around friends she's more laid back and relaxed. she can't be open about a lot of what she does, and she doesn't like being open emotionally. she doesn't really have that much time to spend with her friends, but when she's around them she's much more chill because she doesn't have to try to manipulate anyone/keep control and there isn't much at stake.
ikaika
they're both highly intelligent. he's one of the few people she sees as her intellectual equal and vice versa. they worked together on everything from missions to inventions. they enjoyed talking to each other because they both like discussing theories, concepts, how things work, the future, etc. and they had a lot of shared interests. she's not a fan of how chaotic he is, but she's much more chill when she's not in Work Mode, and he's willing to calm the fuck down for someone he respects. they know and understand each other very well.
zakiya
they worked closely, but they weren't friend friends. they didn't really have an emotional bond, but they respected and trusted each other (not sure if trust is the right word because erika betrayed the team but zakiya trusted her and she knew she could count on zakiya). they planned, strategized, and worked well together because they have a similar way of thinking.
ikaika, zakiya, amari*, people fighting the federation
fluent in multiple languages
leading the federation, head of the inner circle
atheist
moderately libertarian, more on the liberal side (she's all for change and progress if she think it's best)
red
(again, i know i should put something here i'm just not sure what)
her tech
