Charles is in a similar boat to his brother Adam, but he was a part of the royal military rather than a simple researcher. He excelled at Conjuration magic and while he's not as powerful as his brother, he can still pack quite a punch when it came to spells.

Charles retreated with his brother and his brother's friend after the great disaster struct, escaping out of a back way so that they didn't get caught up in any madness that was occurring.

After picking up Juliana from wondering in the woods that his brother was somehow able to find, they all reconciled in Yhimming in its subcapital where they currently have their base set up.
