Joseph Roscoe Dawn: Aldi's "caretaker" of sorts, but more so just a reminder for him. An old friend of Aldi's, Joseph is a fellow ranch hand that lives a few miles away from him. A stern and strict old man, but cares about Aldi almost like a son. He visits every Thursday to make sure Aldi takes his medication, and also makes sure he receives it from the pharmacy. Joseph was surprised how Aldi seemed to appear out of nowhere and tackle ranch hand duties even better than he, an older man whom had been doing the job for over forty years. He makes sure he and his nephew are always caught up with their sign language so Aldi can understand them a little easier.

Raymundo Diaz: Joseph's nephew and friend of Aldi. Joseph will sometimes force Raymundo to join him in his visits to Aldi, hence their friendship building. Raymundo is young and is known for making bad decisions, getting in trouble a lot with his parents, so they force him to work under Joseph. A big ladies' man, Raymundo tries to find Aldi a match made in heaven for him...mainly for him to not always be so alone all the time. Although he will never admit it, he fears that something may happen to Aldi out in the west by himself, and he knows Joseph feels the same. But he also trusts Aldi, knowing he is more than meets the eye.

Dandy Boy: Aldi's pet bearded dragon that he adores beyond words. The little creature is his best friend and emotional support companion. Due to Aldi's mindset at times, and his medication, he hallucinates that Dandy Boy can speak to him and he can hear him. In Aldi's mind, DB has a very daring and charismatic personality...and may convince him to do things he may regret for the fun of it. No one else sees this of course, so it's a little confusing to see Aldi having a full out conversation with the lizard. In a way, he is his imaginary friend that he really needs. His loneliness had caught up with him. DB will almost always be on his shoulder, wherever he goes.
