porcelain, and very prone to pink spots after physical activity.
ectomorph
thousands of freckles covering her face. thousands. they also cover her neck, upper shoulders, back and pretty much anywhere else the sun can reach her.
she signs to herself! quite a lot, actually. especially when ranting or trying to remember something in specific. this alarms many of her friends, since she signs much more quickly to herself than any of them, and there are often prolonged pausing in between signs when she's struggling to remember or express the exact phrasing.
she also has a habit of pacing when she's deep in thought. if she's not pacing, she's bouncing a limb, checking her watch, retying her hair, etc. she struggles to sit still for long periods of time, so these are all very common to observe.
because meg relies so heavily on eye contact and body language, she tends not to look away from people who look at her. if she's staring, it's probably because she's wondering whether the person is trying to talk to her and doesn't want to miss anything. that, or she's simply lost in thought.
she's a big touch-person and she finds it annoying when people refuse to get her attention via a shoulder tap, and instead resort to wild waving or, even worse, snapping in front of her face. because of this, she's often the first to initiate physical contact, letting people know that it's perfectly fine to do the same.
smiling. the amount of time meg smiles in a day is probably impossible to record. it's her most common greeting, symbol of agreement, and assurance that, no, she wasn't offended and, yes, she understood the message. she's also a relatively smiley person in general, most likely a result of her optimism.
meg loves getting to know people, and she wants to make sure hearing people realize that it's okay to talk to her and other deaf/hard of hearing people in spite of language barriers.
she's tired of feeling like she needs to prove her independency, but nevertheless must do so more often than she'd like.
she can be a little too headstrong and independent at times, to the point of trying to tackle too much on her own and landing herself in trouble. while she's come to terms with the knowledge that it's okay to ask for help, she resents the idea because she fears she'll be thought of as less human.
meg also struggles to let others take the lead, another flaw originating from her desire to prove she's capable. she's more inclined to follow her own advice than listen to others, even if, logically, she recognizes that someone else's idea is better.
she's also a bit of a perfectionist, although most of her friends would agree that's she's more than just a bit of one. she always keeps her house in damn near perfect order, down to color-coding the clothes hanging in her closet, washing dishes as soon as she uses them, and dating all of her papers—even the scraps. she rarely does a task with less than her best effort, even if she absolutely hates said task. this is probably because she's knows if she doesn't, she never will.
another thing about meg, is that she's a hell of a smartass. she takes advantage of nearly every time someone sets themself up and rejoices in knocking them back down. sarcasm if her third language (the firsts being english and sign language, of course), and she uses it almost as much as her sign.
in addition to this, she has a crazy arsenal of vulgar language, and she's not afraid to use it. even someone not familiar with sign will get uncomfortable when she gets going, in all likelihood more frightened of her increasingly intense facial expressions than the rapid signing.
she's finds it very difficult to tolerate people who believe that deaf/hard of hearing people are invalid or disabled, and those who think all deaf people wish they were hearing. in general, people who purposely remain ignorant about deaf culture.
she's very good at lip reading and moderately good at interpreting, if only because she wanted to overcome the language barrier between herself and hearing people. she's also very good at origami, although she's gotten tired of it after years of folding.
she collects rocks that she finds pretty, as well as flowers that she presses in her many, many books. she also runs, practices yin and yang yoga and tends to the garden outside her parents' house whenever she's available.

"executives are representatives of tradition and order, utilizing their understanding of what is right, wrong and socially acceptable to bring families and communities together. embracing the values of honesty, dedication and dignity, people with the executive personality type are valued for their clear advice and guidance, and they happily lead the way on difficult paths. taking pride in bringing people together, executives often take on roles as community organizers, working hard to bring everyone together in celebration of cherished local events, or in defense of the traditional values that hold families and communities together."
"strong believers in the rule of law and authority that must be earned, executive personalities lead by example, demonstrating dedication and purposeful honesty, and an utter rejection of laziness and cheating, especially in work. if anyone declares hard, manual work to be an excellent way to build character, it is executives."
"executives don’t work alone, and they expect their reliability and work ethic to be reciprocated – people with this personality type meet their promises, and if partners or subordinates jeopardize them through incompetence or laziness, or worse still, dishonesty, they do not hesitate to show their wrath."
"tasks aren’t simply abandoned because they’ve become difficult or boring – people with the executive personality type take them up when they are the right thing to do, and they will be finished so long as they remain the right thing to do."
"the problem with being so fixated on what works is that executives too often dismiss what might work better. everything is opinion until proven, and executive personalities are reluctant to trust an opinion long enough for it to have that chance."
