Can be self-centered and too independent, doesn’t take much time to make decisions, not very concerned with her past or future
She has a slight hunch to her shoulders, a habit from her younger years as she subconsciously tried to make herself shorter, and Penny makes big sweeping gestures with her arms when she talks. When impatient, she tends to nibble on the tail of one of her braids.
Her impulses. When Penny wants something, she just does it, not really thinking about the long-term consequences. If there’s a tornado going on and she wants coffee, she is going to get her gosh darn coffee. Basically, she acts on her desires as a form of self-care, to prove to herself that her thoughts are valid, which is a nice sentiment, but Penny can take it a bit too far.
She tends to believe that everyone around her is just as independent as she is, so Penny has a difficult time understanding how some people (i.e. Crumpledunk) need support and validation from the people around them to feel fulfilled.
Penny loves to dance, sing, and generally spread the boogey. While she may not be the best at it, she sure enjoys it! She is adept at quickly absorbing information and she was a great swimmer in high school, though not good enough for a college scholarship, unfortunately. Penny is also a fairly good artist and designer, which comes in handy for pursuing her degree.
Penny likes sewing little plushies whenever she feels the urge, and enjoys listening to music to unwind. She is an avid Netflix watcher and makes a game out of ordering the most absurd food she can find at local restaurants, filming it and posting it to YouTube (she has about 1k subscribers at the moment, and it tends to fluctuate in part due to her sporadic upload schedule).
Penny can be described as Chaotic Good. She doesn’t have much regard for societal rules or expectations, and generally does what she feels is right, not what authorities in her life approve of. She can be a bit flighty, jumping from one thing to another rather quickly, but it’s not because of a lack of enthusiasm. Penny either goes big or goes home and doesn’t really sweat the small stuff. She tends to be more independent and self-focused, because her childhood taught her to focus on her emotional and physical well-being, so if she doesn’t feel comfortable with something, she drops it quick as a flash. No toxic friends here! Penny doesn’t concern herself with the opinions of others and has a healthy amount of self-confidence. She trusts her gut feelings in most cases, which has saved her skin a few times. However, due to how she makes a lot of decisions in the moment, she’s a pretty bad procrastinator and does much of her work last minute.
Penny grew up in a small town with a single mother. Her mother had been in an abusive relationship but was able to leave, and she taught Penny to always respect herself and follow her instincts. She was a B average student throughout middle school and high school and an avid swimmer. When it came time for college, she got in to her state school with fair ease (which was good because it was the only school she applied for) and has been attending college since the age of 18.
She has completed kindergarten through 12th grade in public schools, and is enrolled as a Industrial Design major.

Salmon (orangey-pink basically)
A little mouse she sewed back in her sophomore year of high school because she sees it as a symbol of self-love and confidence. It’s name is Gilbert.
Anything spicy. She especially loves curry and hot wings, but if it make her feel like she dunked her head in a pond full of lava, she loves it.
She is a industrial design major in college. Penny is in her senior year of college, due to the fact that she did was a psychology major for two years and then switched.
She generally believes in more liberal ideas, but isn’t very involved in politics.
Her mother is Buddhist, but she leans more towards being agnostic, because while she’s pretty committed to the fact that there’s some kind of creator, she isn’t committed to any one faith.
She works at a coffee shop on her college campus because she enjoys the variety of people that she gets to observe.
Geese. She admires their audacity.
