Ayame is overall a very friendly person. She's also often described as being extremely calm most of the time, however, she is quick to lose her composure in difficult situations.

(Later in the Book) Ayame's behavior eventually becomes erratic and paranoid.

Ayame grew up in Nagoya, Japan with her mother (who was from America) and her father (a native of Japan). When she turned 13, her mother and father separated and she visited America for the first time when she was 14 and then again when she graduated highschool (her mother continued living in Japan so Ayame could spend equal time with her mother and father).

(Current) Ayame is now attending University for a business degree so she can become an event planner.

(Future) Ayame lives with her girlfriend Florence, a woman who belongs to a family of cannibals. After Ayame discovered this fact one day while at Florence's family's house, Florence has taken every opportunity to terrorize Ayame without directly telling the white-haired woman she knows she found out. However, Florence's actions become more obvious over time as her "methods" of abusing Ayame become worse. Eventually, Ayame's hate of violence begins to matter less to her and she kills and eats Florence.
