Claire is bubbly and sweet, with a passion for running. She's determined and not a fan of being ordered around, and directly disobeys her parents to see her estranged brother. She isn't the best at picking up social cues, however, and often make others uncomfortable by not knowing what topics aren't ones they want to talk about.

Claire and her brother Victor used to be close, despite their considerable age difference. Her mother was fairly withdrawn and distant, and her father prone to yelling and occasionally violence. Victor bore the brunt of it, however, and would sneak Claire off to stay at a friend's house if it got too rough. Claire also had Victor's passion for the sciences, and aided him in a science experiment that resulted in a lab fire. Claire's hands were badly injured in it, and Victor was estranged and disowned. She sneaks around to meet with him so they can stay in touch.
