Aspen is fiercely loyal to his people and his court. He never expected to inherit the throne, so he built up a reputation as a hedonistic, reckless prince. Unlike Oleander, Aspen grew out of this and turned out to be a protective and caring leader of the Autumn Court. His relationship with his brother Oberon is a bit tense; they never got along too well (although their relationship was far less dysfunctional than Titania and Juniper's) and even dueled for the kingdom at one point, which Aspen lost. He's very magically gifted and has an offensive magic, something that caused tension with his brother since Oberon had defensive magic, and is sort of a "man of the people" leader, and the people of the Autumn Court take great pride in him, especially those who watched him transform from a show-off prince to a mature leader.
Fencing, very magically gifted (Oberon only won the duel due to illegal blood magic), a "man of the people" type of leader whose people adore him.

Aspen wasn't expected to inherit the throne of Autumn due to his older brother Oberon. Upon Oberon's imprisonment, however, Aspen ascended to the throne. He was a good leader, and fell in love with a mortal woman named Estelle Granteir. They never married, but she lived in the Autumn Court for a while and became pregnant with his son during a more tumultuous era, mainly due to the increasing prevalence of both King Phillip of Alchester and Oleander. He ordered her to escape his court, and later learned that she died shortly after giving birth. Seventeen years later, two of his friends find a half-fae boy near dead in the Woods, and Aspen is finally reunited with his son.
