Wisteria is near-silent, speaking only when necessary. She's very timid and constantly walking on eggshells to appease her husband Hemlock. A very loving mother to Oleander, he was her final tie to the world after her handmaiden Ivy died. His fall to villainy broke what little spirit she had left, and she killed herself by mixing iron powder into her drink. A very clever child, she had next to no opportunities to use her brain while married to Hemlock.
Generally avoids eye contact--especially with Hemlock--and doesn't speak often. Keeps her gaze downward. Tries to take up as little space as possible.
Singing, although she doesn't in public, embroidery, generally well-liked by those she meets.
To stay alive
Quiet, doesn't speak up for herself, timid.
Against the humans
The daughter of a minor lord and lady, Wisteria met King Hemlock when she was one hundred and fifteen years old. Her parents, desiring more relevance in the Court of Darkness, agreed to marry their young daughter off to the much older king. Wisteria gave birth to a son soon after, and named him Oleander. She befriended Ivy, a handmaiden of hers who eventually jumped out of one of the windows of the Obsidian Palace and shattered her legs and hips. Ivy begged Wisteria to kill her, being unable to face Hemlock again, and Wisteria obliged, administering a fatal dosage of powdered iron to her drink and killing her. Wisteria tried to keep Oleander out of court politics, but Hemlock dragged him into them at a young age. When Oleander made his deal with The Erl King and killed Hemlock, Wisteria was initially quite happy, but her mood quickly changed when she saw how cruel her son had become. She killed herself soon after, believing herself to have lost everything worth living for.

Her silver rings
Married to Hemlock after a seemingly pleasant courtship, only for him to reveal his true colors as an abuser once they married. Notably, they married when she was only 150, and he was centuries older than her.
