Queen Mab was very sweet and thoughtful, and strove to connect the faery and human worlds and overcome prejudice between them. She was too trusting of the conniving human ambassadors, however, and this led to her death before much progress could be made. Mab as a ghost is the same, but more worldly, not nearly as rash. She is very measured and collected, and yet keeps her childhood hopefulness close.
Skilled negotiator, very magically gifted, harpist.
To unite the faeries and the humans
Playing the harp, sneaking into the human world. After her death, she creates an afterlife for other fae that is similar to her dreamscape, as well as visiting others through their dreams.
Mab was very naive and saw herself as the link between the worlds. She was overconfident in her abilities as a mediator and brashly went off on her own. Her habit of being vague led to her advisers not knowing where she had gone when she met with the human ambassadors, and her too-trusting nature led to her trusting them and being assassinated.
Initially prejudiced against the humans, but overcomes it.
To see into and enter into the dreams of others
Mab was the last queen of the Court of Light, and strove to connect the human and faery realms. She was beloved by most of the fae and the humans (being one of the only fae known by name to the humans) and had a bright future before her death at the hands of some disgruntled ambassadors. Mab fought valiantly before ultimately taking too many cuts from iron swords, and the ambassadors hid her body in the Pond. Her blood ended up granting the water magical abilities. She was one of the first faeries to die, and used her gift to create an afterlife, much like her dreamscape.

Queen of the Court of Light
Wanted to connect the human and fae realms, initially out of a patronizing feeling that humans couldn't be trusted to rule themselves, though she later realized that was misguided. She worked with a human named Aristotle Jacques (who she later fell in love with) to set up a meeting between herself and the human ambassadors.
After her death, several groups among the fae who worship her pop up, and some even among the humans. Her name is often used akin to how humans in our world say "oh my God". ("Mab's sake" generally)
