Apollo's adoptive father was a woodworker and taught them a little of how to do it before he died.

Apollo is mostly presented as a confused kid who's just trying to get by with what life gave them. They feel like they should have a greater sense of vengeance towards their mother's killer, but all feelings in that area are unusually dulled.

Too forgiving and trusting, doesn't think things through, doesn't know who they are or what their purpose is

Apollo often seems like they're missing something, and that something is everything that Blue took with him to Hell. Apollo was left with a lot of Blue's 'good' qualities (intentionally) and it messes up how they react to things quite often.
