Early magical training, proficient potions knowledge

Kamila was born to two loving parents, though their love was forbidden. Her mother was a witch and her Father was human. Humans were the dominant race and were hellbent on ridding the world of witches and other mythic creatures. The military was in charge of this and her father was in the military, looking to kill the witches that threatened the world. That was until he met a lovely witch, Kamila's mother. They ran away together and started a life together. The witch woman was a potion brewer and owned a shop in the town they ran away from, so the military man and the witch built a new one together. Soon, they had a daughter by the name of Kamila.

Kamila was a happy girl, very skilled in her magic and advanced in her training for her age. But then the military found the happy family. After hiding Kamila away, the couple approached the army. Kamila's mother was dragged away and her father was taken to the military base. Her mother was dragged to the biggest city by the name of Arlynne and tied to a stake, burned for her crimes of blasphemy and being different. The woman died and the man was subjected to years of brainwashing in order to realign him onto their side.

Kamila then spent her life alone, with only her familiar to keep her company. She was only eight when the incident went down, leaving her without the guide of her parents for 12 years. She got behind on her magic training and focused on her potion skilled, dedicating herself to the profession her mother had adored more than anything. She threw herself into the work, neglecting herself and those around her. She didn't have a reason to pay anyone else any mind, she thought. Quickly falling into despair, she began to self harm, even falling so far as attempting suicide.

As she got older, she was only beginning to fall deeper into her depression. One day, she was attacked by the very man she turned to for comfort many times. Her own father attacked the shop, blowing it to bits. As she tried to survive being hunted by the man who raised her, she traveled across the world to find a sanctuary for witches, where she would be promised eternal safety.
