So Gedrick son of King Quan and Queen Alie was a very-wanting-power type of person. So when his parents died at sea, Gedrick's older brother became king. But Gedrick secretly put his brother in the very bottom of the Dungeons and made every one believe he had died so Gedrick became king of the Live kingdom. Since the Live kingdom and the Shadow Keepers were old friends when Gedrick Lied and told them that the Crystal kingdom had attacked them so the Shadow keepers helped the Live kingdom in the war against the Live kingdom.
