his mermaid mother was terrified of him for being a merman. She put a spell on him so he would become human unless he can to the moon pool on a full moon. If that happened every time his skin came in contact with water he would turn into a merman. A human family took Adrian in as a baby. He was found on the beach. They took him in. His mermaid mother wanted to raise him, but because he was a merman the other mermaid mothers wouldn't allow it. So his real mother was forsed to watch him grow up as a human. A few years later his mermaid mother hatched his younger sister. She was raised by his mother and his mother never told his sister about him.
