It has a kind of iridescent effect to it if the light hits it just right.

Her hair is incredibly long, not to mention strong. It’s almost always down, the ends of her hair reaching her ankles. It’s very wavy and soft.

Unfortunately, when she leaves water, IT’S HEAVY . She is literally bending backwards with this nonsense . Not to mention it takes FOREVER to dry. It’s slick and clings to her body and whatever is around her. It’s very straight, too.

She only speaks when spoken to, making first greetings a struggle. Though, she’d always ask about your day and if you’re doing well.

She has a very proper and formal way of speaking (addressing people with titles and the like) and uses a more advanced vocabulary. She has a silvery tone of voice.

Her greetings are always polite, greeting the individual she’s talking to with a respective title unless told otherwise.

When comfortable, Ruuben will laugh more often and will be more inclined to humor or tease others.

When extremely comfortable, she'll tend to snort and try to make jokes up off the top of her head. She gets more expressive with her laughter as well ( throwing her head back, holding her stomach, etc).

She tends to lean forward like a child whenever she’s interested in something.

Years of being looked down upon and labeled because of her birth has made Ruuben strive to try a reach expectations she feels are appropriate for her. Her eldest sister and some others of the elven population of her home continue to berate her for her behavior. She just wants to prove to them that she is just as capable as anyone else, even if she is a half blood. She fears that if she doesn't do enough, she'll forever bring shame upon both her and her late mother's name.

She does find idle chit chat important, though she struggles with what to say, making things awkward.

Given that she’s half siren, she’s put the idea in her head that she’s half monster. Given the stories and her abilities, she often grew depressed in her youth . She doesn’t let it bother her as much now, but she still struggles with accepting her other half.

From repressing her emotions for so longer in fear of being ridiculed, she now finds it troubling to freely express herself with people she’s comfortable around. This may come off as a form of passiveness or indecisiveness.

She’s full of raw emotion waiting to be let out. Anger, bitterness, jealousy, etc. all those bad emotions tend to blow up over an extended period of time. Even with the bad, she has happier emotions she’d wish to express as well.

While Ruuben tries to keep a collected and calm appearance, possibly teetering on a poker face, her emotions can be detected through her tone of voice or her eyes. This is often exploited by her eldest two siblings, Seraphina and Stella. While Ruuben does have a good amount of self control around people, it's apparent that her emotions are affecting her due to her tone of voice. She rarely ever resorts to exerting her feelings through means of violence, unless its to be taken out on some unfortunate object nearby.

Growing up, she has grown spoiled in the aspect of lifestyle. She’s not one to complain if conditions are not favorable/what she’s use to, but the discomfort is seen plain on her face.

She tends to think negatively, especially about herself.

Takes things a little too personally, always expecting an attack.

She’s surprisingly able to hold a grudge and can become very vengeful, something she wishes wasn't the case for her.

She often has issues with politicians and individuals who happen to show hostility towards her. Due to her half-blood, the lesser elves of her home fear her because of her ability to kill while some of the higher-ups look down on her since her blood's considered to be tainted. Few individuals use the idea of the power of her voice to strike fear into those who know only little of the princess. The obvious distrust that she experiences makes most of her conversations short and sweet.

Singing and dancing come naturally to Ruuben.

Ruuben has a bold, yet refined nature. She appears serene and graceful but maintains a polite, but avoidant distance from others unless the situation calls for interaction. This makes it difficult to get to know her. Considering her upbringing, or rather how her hostile environment shaped her, she’s learned to try to sympathize with others despite how she feels about a certain situation but is quick to blame herself for not doing as much as she’d like to.

She has both a penchant for culture and adventure. She can also be quite the minx, her playful streak seldom being shown.

Ruuben’s magical abilities are mostly linked to her voice.

She has little experience casting magic without the use of her voice, which is an incredible weakness for her.

Another weakness would be the canceling of her hypnotic ability. Sirens usually depend on this to gain the upper hand during situations. Ruuben’s song would be useless against the deaf and those who stuff their ears with beeswax. Beeswax is the only thing that can cancel out her hypnotic ability, or Ruuben's voice as a whole.

Ruuben is very critical with politics. She’d often hang onto her mentor’s, Helio, every word during discussions that took place. She believes in fighting for positive change and fairness, despite knowing how messy politics can really get.

Happens to be the color of her casual dress! A milky seafoam green color.

Ruuben happens to be a big eater, so fatty meats are her favorite. She also enjoys much of Octavian’s cooking, especially his signature fruit pie. She has a soft stomach because of her diet.

Half of an obsidian pendant her mother use to wear. The ruby on its reminds her of her mother’s eyes. She desperately wants to find the other half of it.

While being opposed to fighting because of her experiences with it up close, she happens to favor intricate, but well-made daggers. While she's never wielded a weapon before, her mother was incredibly proficient with one.

Ruuben’s educational level is high, considering how strict and advanced her teachers were. A family friend, Helio, had shown favoritism and has chosen to take Ruuben under his wing as a pupil. She’s incredibly versed in literature, mathematics, sciences, arts, etc.

Ruuben was born between the current King of Rialta, Potentatus, and his fourth mistress, a traveling exotic dancer named Cloelia, making her the seventh sister and daughter of the elven king. Cloelia sought after the king's affection after falling in love with him but had to fight her way to the top since there were other elven mistresses there going after the same prize.
Over the course of a few years prior to her birth, Potentatus had already begun to favor Cloelia over his other mistresses, which prompted the population of the kingdom to show disdain towards Cloelia and Ruuben (when she had been born), along with the other sirens that reside within Rialta.
The disdain from them hadn’t stopped, not even in the palace. Ruuben faced ridicule from her half-sisters since she was half-elf and half siren. She was often berated and feared but managed to withstand it with the help of her mother, friends, and personal servants. This also was the time in which the mistresses Potentatus took on earlier started to try to kill each other, especially if one deemed suitable for the title of Queen.
One day, Potentatus decided to officially marry Ruuben’s mother, which would make Cloelia queen of Rialta. However, things took a turn when an assassination attempt was made on Potentatus, all signs pointing at Cloelia. Her trial had been unjust since the court had already disliked the idea of Cloelia becoming queen. Her sentence was to be put to death, which she faced fearlessly. Before this, however, she was pregnant with another child of Potentatus's, a son that would've naturally become his heir. The pregnancy was kept secret and later induced so that the child would not die along with her.
In fear of losing Ruuben, who was a remnant/replacement of Cloelia, Potentatus had her memories of the whole incident erased, telling her that her mother had unfortunately passed due to an assassination. Luckily for him, everything went in Potentatus' favor and Ruuben quietly mourned the death of her mother and the mysterious absence of any other siren in Rialta.
Ruuben's relationship with her older sisters was strained, especially with her eldest sibling, Seraphina. Seraphina was well aware of the obvious guilt their father had after killing Cloelia. This guilt had made him weak whenever Ruuben was put into the equation. Ruuben became his new weakness out of the fear that he'd lose the last thing that still reminded him of the happiness he once had. Seraphina clearly saw herself above physical abuse, but not mentally or emotionally. Throughout Ruuben's life(along with her other sisters since Seraphina liked none save for her twin), Seraphina has been a constant reminder that nothing Ruuben did would ever be good enough or that she wouldn't amount to anything.
Ruuben did manage to earn the attention of one of her elder sisters, Seraphina's twin, Second Princess Altiora. Altiora had always checked up on Ruuben whenever she had gone through another session between her sisters, earning some affection from Ruuben. However, Altiora's mistake was that she was too timid to ever stand up against her other sisters whenever the fighting actually took place. Ruuben, unfortunately, grew to hate Altiora for her lack of any action towards the behavior any of her other sisters or she herself faced. Ruuben closed herself off from her siblings, but would, unfortunately, come to regret this as her sister would meet an untimely demise via assassination that Ruuben believes she had indirectly caused because of her grudge.
Now alone, Ruuben grew distant and pliant, learning how to survive in a hostile environment. She studied hard and often tried to prove herself to be a valuable asset to the kingdom, but still faced the same ridicule growing up alongside her sisters.
Now, Ruuben’s been given a retainer, a sprightly Fire elf from the volcanic region of Celosia. The two had often clashed before, but Soon Ruuben had shown to have grown quite attached to him and him the same.

During her childhood, Ruuben's also responsible for the death of a water elf after he had tried coming onto her mother with the sole reason of viewing her mother as a whore. She had accidentally used her powers that she had inherited from her mother when cursing the elf, which allowed him to become enchanted due to her voice. Ruuben was completely unaware of this until he fell dead on top of her mother. The body of the elf had never been found and no one knew of the incident save for Ruuben, her mother and three trusted personal servants. This is her most guarded secret.

Ruuben has become affiliated with the Twin Sacred Beasts of Water, Levi and Angi. Their power and affinity all lie with the element of water and everything within it. For example, they both have enough power to flood the world, cause raging storms and oceans, create sacred springs and cause whirlpools. Their exact size is something to be determined since legends depict them being large enough for each to wrap half around the world and bite each other’s tails. Despite this, they are very massive creatures.

Levi and Angi were once one being, but became split after severely losing a fight against Goliath.

Levi is very closed off and distant, being hostile if approached with consent.

Angi tends to be much sweeter than his twin Levi, wanting to be in the company of others and praised.

They both take the form of snakes.

Ruuben’s full name is Princess Ruuben Aquae of Rialta.

Ruuben harbors no memory from her childhood other than revolving around the genocide.

Her least favorite food is seafood.

Ruuben has taken the life of someone before as a child. Due to this, and given how sirens have been perceived, she believes she is a monster. The entire ordeal was an accident and self-defense, however.

As for smell, Ruu’s always had a gentle and sweet smell. It’s more like roses, honeydew and rainwater.

Ruuben’s favorite time of day is dawn. She likes to watch the sunrise. It’s also a time when everyone’s asleep and she’s completely free of her duties/reputation for a while. The air is also crisp and clear.

Ruuben can swim fairly well. She can also breathe underwater.

Ruuben’s also able to see at night, those her eyes are not as proficient as a full-blooded water elf’s. This ability is useful to an extent.

Ruuben often enjoys bathing in rosewater.

She’s not as against public bathing/bathing with another as one might think. As long as a respective distance is kept, that is.
