When exposed to a lot of force, Mayhem can convert the energy into light. He can extinguish light and he usually glows in the dark. He can even use light to travel to different places, like teleportation or shadow-travelling. Light travel costs him heavily. He gets weakened in the dark.

He stole 200 Gilts from a shop and was sent to the Banished lands at age 17. He illegally returned to Skoira and works in a construction company that helps Banished people find a job and home in Skoira, safe from the Banished lands.
His father was one of the first people to be murdered by Thanatos. Since his father was his only family left, Mayhem has been searching for Thanatos ever since to kill him.
