- Mute due to her time under Oleander's control
Maia is rude, harsh, and generally a bit of an acquired taste, but once she connects to you, do not expect her to let you go unprotected. She will fight by her loved ones sides. Even if she is fond of you, do not expect her to be particularly kind. She was the fourth lover and third wife of Oleander, who enchanted her against her will and used his mind manipulation on her. Despite her harsh exterior, Maia does genuinely care for her companions, and offers them her support as someone who will listen to them.
To end Oleander once and for all
Plotting to end Oleander, training herself hand-to-hand combat
Stubborn, rude, crass, foul-mouthed, aggressive, easily provoked.
Against humans at first, since nobody searched for her after she was taken.
- Mute, communicates using a type of sign language
Maia is a human girl who was kidnapped by Oleander, the self-proclaimed Shadow Prince, to be his mortal bride. His enchantments on her left her mute after a series of events unraveled by other fae freed her. However, she was turned immortal by him in a final act of anger, and is left as neither fae nor fully human. She opted to stay in the Autumn Court with Esther (another former bride and her eventual lover) and Cedar, a woodcarver who lost his sister to Oleander's men.
Not very high originally since she wasn't particularly rich growing up, but has learned a lot in her time as an immortal.

A small pad of paper and a pencil-type piece of wood to communicate with in case she is ever alone with someone who doesn't understand her.

A raven
A small dagger given to her by Esther with the phrase "Bound No More" carved into it. Esther herself also has one.
She tends to shy away from fae politics since she isn't fae herself, but is strongly against Oleander and resents that no one has stood up to him on a large scale.
