After watching a man rob his home and kikll his parents he begged the man to let him become his apprentice and to teach him the ways of assasination and theivery.
after a job gone wrong in a rage Velox killed his teacher, tainting his soul but he refused to learn magic and wanted to rely on his own skill.
he trains constantly to maximize efficiency in assassination and thievery.

He was blinded in one eye when he was slashe across it by a dagger in a street fight and got the Dagaz rune (which means transformation and new beginnigs) after he killed his master .
