Kalisha is probably the most the honest, straight-forward, and blunt of the group. She sees and calls things as they are, and she has no room for the ignorant. She's a leader without realizing that she is, since she has no desire to be in the spotlight. She's somewhat of a cynic, believing that the only one who can correctly do something is her, but she doesn't see the "point" to trying to make the world a better place. Despite this, she's incredibly loyal to those who she deems worthy of her time, and she can be counted on for just about anything.

Kalisha doesn't have an actual job, but she volunteers at the Welcoming Arms Foundation for community service credit. This is where she meets Elias and Ziva.

She wobbles between Christianity and atheism.

Kalisha was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Her father is of African descent, and her mother was white. Though her father was very loving, her mother died when she was 8, leaving her and her older brother alone with their father who had to juggle a full-time job along with raising two children. Then, when she was 15, her brother, Derek (then 18), was shot and killed by a police officer. Despite protests from both Kalisha and her father, justice was not dealt, and since then, she has become a cynic, believing that bad always wins. When she graduated high school, her father pushed her to do community service in an attempt to get her to open up, and she began volunteering at the Welcoming Arms Foundation, where she meets Elias and Ziva, who both take her under their wings, especially Elias.

Kalisha is greatly passionate about the causes she believes in, but she becomes impatient when others don't believe or don't see things the same way as her. She's very impulsive and relies mostly on her gut to make decisions. She also has a very short temper.

Kalisha graduated high school with average grades; they began dropping after the death of her brother. She planned to attend community college after taking a year off.

She feeds a stray cat that she calls Savage because he's fluffy and has no claws.
