Tho it's vaugely presented:
Pwan was doll belonging to their real world counterpart (The charachter the player makes)
The mom pawned it and it was thrown out by the owner of the store.
The doll then comes to the other world, where it cannot use magic,since it's a doll from the human world.
Then something happens (Don't know what yet) and they recieve magica powers WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE and accidentally fiire them off in an everyday situation.

Pwan is an anagram of pawn, as they were pawned in (And is now a pawn at the players hand) Lodl is an anagram of doll (The entire family is made up of dolls)
