However, she is also very insecure. She keeps her emotions heavily in check, for fear of being seen as weak or irresponsible. She is afraid of making mistakes, afraid of trusting others since she is convinced that everyone is out to get her, and she can quickly resort to violence if she deems anyone a threat to her or the few she cares for. She is highly defensive and repressive in her rule, but also is afraid of being repressed.
♛ Her greatest fear is abandonment and loneliness, and she finds comfort in her religion to alleviate her insecurities.
♛ Princess Rosemary had lived comfortably for most, if not all of her life. With servants catering to her every whim and fancy, and a mostly-empty palace to live in. However, there were and still are rough patches she must endure. Such as when an attempt was made on her life when she was 11, or when her parents were murdered by a group of magic-users at 14.
When she came to the throne at 17, she became determined to honor her parents' memory by cleansing her kingdom of magic, the source of most of her problems. She struggled coming up with a way to do so, but when a handsome wizard arrived at the palace, all previous plans of hers were thrown out the window. She was head-over-heels in love for this young man, but as she later found out, he did not reciprocate her feelings. And in a final act of betrayal, the man spelled her, rendering her defenseless and assaulted her. He fled the country shortly afterwards, leaving Rosemary pregnant with his child.
Rosemary was confused and terrified of what everyone would think, since pre-marital relations with others was strictly forbidden in most religions-- including her own, she hid her pregnancy from the general public. She later gave birth to a boy. Unwilling to kill the child, she gave him to the first person willing to take him, which ended up being a young mercenary by the name of Azariah Wickett.
After all this had transpired, at the suggestion of her advisor, she outlawed the practice of magic, and put a hefty bounty on any man, woman or child who used it. Starting in her own palace, she began the systematic imprisonment of wizards and witches within the castle walls. She asked that jailers and soldiers read the prisoners 'The Sages' Texts', a religious book until they gave up their 'evil'. After about of year of this law being in effect, jailhouses and dungeons quickly began to fill, and none of the accused were willing to give up or admit to the crimes they were being tried for.
When presented with this dilemma, Rosemary sought out the council of her trusted adviser, who told her that there was now no choice; anyone discovered to use magic would be executed. Reluctantly, Rosemary agreed. In her eyes, this was the only way to save her country, but in truth, she only was destroying it.
Fifteen years after this, magic-makers have nearly gone extinct, and the ones who are still alive are now living in hiding, suppressing their powers and leading quiet, ordinary lives. Rosemary is sure she has succeeded in the purging of evil, and had convinced some other countries to follow her lead and outlaw magic with a penalty of death.
At this point, things are bleak, but now arrives in the realm of Caerus a young boy by the name of Castiel Eon, who looks strangely similar to the queen.... A boy with untapped magical might, the fate of the world rests in his hands, and he is tasked with saving his people from destroying themselves.
♛ A wizard assaulted her with the aid of his magic, and this resulted in a child Rosemary did not want.
High-class.
♛ Rosemary was privately tutored up until her 14th birthday, when her parents died and she became queen. From this time on, she was given an adviser who taught her more about politics and how to win the affection of her people rather than what is considered 'basic education' in her country.
♛ Rosemary's birthday is the 9th of Illumen, (Illumen is the 6th month out of the worlds' 9 total)
