Aaron
Main/Supporting Character - Ryba U
Aaron Matthew Schwartz
Male
20
Average Weight
6' 3"
Medium golden-reddish brown.
About chin-length, slightly wavy, usually parted in the middle, or thereabouts, though he doesn't particularly pay attention to how it's parted. He's good at styling hair because of his sister and her friends, but he doesn't really pay much attention to his own.
Not much, if any at all. He does get a five-o'clock shadow, and sometimes, he might let it grown in a bit wispy, but overall, he's usually pretty clean-shaven.
Medium-Dark Gold
Medium-Light tan
Tall, with broader shoulders, muscular.
Both his left eye and his left arm are robotic prosthetics. He also has white tips on his ears and tail, and a little white tip on his nose.
Casual, comfy, nicely worn clothes. Jeans and t-shirts, usually. He has a super-fluffy dark red hoodie that he wears ALL THE TIME. Because it's fluffy and soft.
- Hands in pockets a lot
- He moves/twirls his shadow around absent-mindedly
- Falls asleep quite easily
- Snores softly
- Addicted to fruity iced tea drinks, and he loves to try new ones
- If he walks into a store for some reason (say, to use the bathroom), he always has to buy something, "out of courtesy."
- He often forgets to plug his prosthetics in at night, so he can often be seen around campus with his neck or his arm plugged into a wall
- Loves Tic Tacs
He's very supportive of his sister, and she can get him to do practically anything. He just loves people in general, really, and wants to be friends with everyone. He wants to be helpful.
- Absent-minded. He stares off into space a lot
- Intimidating-looking (though he's actually a huge sweetheart)
- Bites his nails, especially when he's nervous
- A bit naive
- Somewhat shy, since he knows how he can scare people. Unfortunately, this shyness is often mistaken for unfriendliness, which only ends up exacerbating the problem.
- Doesn't really fear anything actually dangerous, like fire or heights.
- Has a bit of a blind spot for his sister
- Quilting
- Making people feel better
- Doing Hair
- Video Games/Computers
He often comes across as intimidating, but he's honestly a really sweet person. Kind of like Krory from D-Gray Man. He's basically a human teddy bear.
He's of pretty average intelligence.
October 31st
Junior at Ryba University
He was born to a fairly wealthy family, with his mother being a fashion designer rival to Claudia Thorne and his father being the head of a company that produces wearable smart technology (though his mother's company is technically separate, the two often partner with each other to produce new product lines. They may have a contract). His sister, Melody, was born when he was 10, and he was absolutely thrilled. He doted on his little sister constantly. At first, she seemed to be annoyed by this. As time went on, however, she seemed to grow to accept it.
Her Photokinesis manifested early, when she was only 2 and a half (Aaron was 9 at the time). Aaron had been holding her when she suddenly started glowing. She, not yet having noticed, reached to touch his face, as toddlers sometimes do.
As it turned out, she was instinctively using her power to infuse photons into anything she was touching, which superheats it. She burned through her clothing fairly quickly, leaving nothing to protect Aaron. In the end, he ended up losing his arm and his eye, as well as having significant burns along his left side where he was holding her.
Luckily for him, however, his father had just made a deal with a large medical company to assist them in creating a new line of smart prosthetics utilizing some of his company's technology and engineers. The project had most of its potential products in the prototype or testing stage when the incident happened, and Aaron's father was able to convince them to allow his son to be one of the ones testing some of them.
So, after a week or two in the hospital, Aaron went back into surgery to be prepared for his new prosthetics. His burned skin was replaced with new, artificial [smart skin], equipped with artificial nerve endings, temperature control, battery monitoring, and a variety of other things. His prosthetics have since been given the ability to transform with him when necessary. He was given a robotic eye to replace his old one. On the stump where his arm used to be, a special mount was put in to connect the robotic arm to his nerves (allowing him to control it as he would a normal arm), as well as make it easier/more comfortable to connect securely to the stump. A charging port was also placed in his neck, so he could charge his prosthetics when they eventually ran out of battery.
After many weeks of recovery, rehabilitation, and testing/improving the functionality of the prostheses, Aaron was finally able to go back to school.
He had expected a warm welcome, and most of his classmates had expected to give him one, but, upon seeing his strange new cyborg-like appearance, as well as hearing the various rumors about what had happened while he was away, they became fearful of him, and ended up shunning him.
At first, he was hurt by this, but it did not take long for his hurt to turn into determination. If they were so scared of him, he would just have to prove to them that he was harmless, and was still the same Aaron they all knew.
Of course, this didn't always go as planned, and sometimes caused him to backtrack in his progress, but that didn't stop him from trying.
To this day, he really is the same human teddy bear he's always been, and still dotes on his sister WAY too much.
- Melody: His sister. He's a lot like Krory from D-Gray Man in his relationship with her, though slightly less ridiculous. She tolerates him, though it helps that she can also play him like a fiddle. He sometimes does her hair for her, though not as much now that she's in high school (he still insists she let him sometimes, though).
- Parents: They're a bit distant, what with both of them being busy with their respective companies. They do love each other, and Aaron and his dad bond over their mutual love of technology (though his dad knows next to nothing about video games). His dad often brings him his new prosthetics, and his mom is always urging him to pay more attention to how he dresses. She was also SUPER worried about him when the accident happened, and now, though she's fairly stoic, worries about him quite a lot.
Upper class. His family's totally loaded.
TECHNICALLY he's considered disabled since he's missing an arm and an eye, but considering he has top of the line prosthetics, it doesn't really impede him at all, aside from the occasional times (read - literally every other day) when he forgets to charge them.
Occasionally, he has damaged his robotic eye. Getting hit with a ball, getting water in it, etc. When this happens, he simply removes the eyeball from its socket. Doing so has caused multiple people to be scared of him.
