Kira is shy and quiet, yet still drawn into the war by a desire to protect her homeland. She's skittish and easily frightened, and has a fear of being crushed to death after her arm was pinned down by a tree branch. As the war escalates, she gets shipped off to Creston for her own safety, and is taken in by a now-deserted Sara Aries and an injured Amira Linell.
