Born to Lamedani parents within the Shalac'sala enclave (below ground.) is parents had the option of integrating into the Lametlane population, but refused, so Keshak was raised isolated amongst his people. He began training at 10, and got his first glimpse of the outside world. He began resenting how restricted he was, and became cynical. At the age of 20, he was offered the chance to integrate, but refused because he had lost hope of ever belonging.
