Iconic Look:
-Jurassic Park shirt
-Cardinals Jacket
-Jeans
-Tennis Shoes
He loves Jurassic Park and gladly expresses that by wearing a shirt with the logo on it. He also has a Jurassic World shirt.
He finds jackets/hoodies comforting and loves wearing them. He can easily pull the hood over his head and - in his mind - shut out the world. He also likes putting his hands in the pockets, though worries about it making his hands more sweaty.
Jeans are the only thing his parents allow him to go to school in, though he finds shorts or sweat pants way more comforting.
At this point in life he doesn't care about shoe brands - except Heeleys. He really wants a pair of Heeleys - and just wears whatever his mom buys him.
As a kid, he constantly wears blue dinosaur Chewlry.
Later in his life, Alex needs braces to help his tooth gap.
Alex is fairly pale.
N/A
For not being very athletic, Alex is very thin and short. He has a high metabolism which helps him stay skinny, yet he's actually unhealthily underweight.
He only slightly identifying marks he has are freckles.
He has emotional scars, but also a slight scar on his ankle where he cut it on glass once.
He suffers from anxiety, which gets worse everyday, and refuses to take the medication his mother suggests, dubbing it tastes bad though he knows it’ll help.
He definitely has autism, tough it's undiagnosed. His parents are working to get him diagnosed, but ti's really hard. Until then, they accommodate to the best of their abilities.
These both play a key role in the story.
He also has abandonment issues and trust issues.
He is very shy when he is around people he doesn’t know very well. He’ll mostly keep to himself.
The only person he is truly comfortable around is Samantha Stables. She's like an older sister to him and has babysat him for most of his life. She is one of the other few people he'll allow himself to cry around.
He’s occasionally - and unintentionally - uncooperative, shy, and slightly uncomfortable around his parents and teachers. He wants to get closer to his parents but it’s hard for him. Granted, he does occasionally open up to his mom but he’s still not close-as-can-be with her.
He is very apologetic, no matter who he’s with or what he does.
In school, he’s rather aloof. He tries to pay attention, but it’s hard when you think someone (i.e Michael) is going to throw something at you or laugh at you every minute.
One of his biggest motivations is friendship. It’s hard for him to make friends and he tries his hardest not to lose them once he actually has them. Along with that, he longs to feel welcomed and cared about by kids his age, which he hadn’t felt until 2nd grade.
Finally, he just wants to please people, especially his parents and Sam. He knows he can be difficult sometimes, and while he tries not to, he cannot control it sometimes.
He cares a lot about people when they finally form a close bond.
Without even realizing it he can be stubborn, uncooperative, rude at times. He doesn’t quite know how to deal with his feelings yet.
At times he will completely snap and go off on rants, yelling and locking himself in his room. After he calms down he realizes he made a mistake and goes to apologize about it.
(Refer to "Best Traits") While he does anything he can to keep his friends, sometimes it can become annoying and clingy.
It's hard for him to take criticism, even if it's constructive.
There is no way for him to control this, but he goes non-verbal a lot and he knows it's frustrating and hard to deal with him at those times.
-Abandonment. He is terrified or his friend(s) abandoning him.
-Crows & Hawks.
-Michael.
-The ocean/swimming (he can’t swim).
-Death.
-People staring at him and judging him.
-Public speaking.
-I mean, the kid has anxiety. He’s gonna be afraid of a lot of things.
He's good at Mario Kart... is that a talent?
He tries to keep his mind at ease by playing Minecraft, reading comic books, or playing with his dinosaurs figures and plushes in his room.
He draws a lot and is actually fairly good at it for an eight-year-old.
-He fidgets with things when he's nervous.
-He occasionally makes random noises.
-Bouncing his leg when he's sitting down and nervous.
If Alex lost one of his parents, he would be absolutely devastated. He can’t imagine life without them.
If he lost his best friend. He’d be terribly miserable.
-Dinosaurs. His favorite movie is Jurassic Park (1, 2, 3, World 1 & 2) and surprisingly doesn’t get scared by them. He has dinosaur plushes, figures, and posters in his room.
-Minecraft.
-Watching movies.
-Crows.
-Michael, who is one is his classmates... who he find intimidating and fears.

It excites him when people ask him about dinosaurs.
He will accidentally slur his words at times and as a younger kid he couldn't pronounce S, R, or SH.
He's good at climbing trees - or anything, for that matter. His father built him a balcony because he used to climb onto the roof.
His friends are comforting to him.
His fidget toys calm him down.
He loves hugging his pterodactyl plush if he's stressed.
When coping with conflict, he tends to shut down and isolates himself.
Alex is an only child but has a family friend who is basically a sibling. Samantha Stables is practically Alex’s sister. She has known him since he was born and used to baby sit him, and still does, occasionally. Lately, Sam had been on Alex's bad side. Alex has told Sam: “You aren’t my sister, so stop acting like it and get out of my life!” And Sam has threatened to tell Alex’s parents if he does anything wrong.
Over all, Alex has a complicated relationship with her. At times he will be yelling at her and the next minute he’ll be crying on her shoulder after an anxiety attack. He loves her like a sibling, and shows it, but like siblings, they don’t always get along. She is one of the few people he feels some what comfortable around.
Alex feels like his father doesn’t care as much as his mother, even though he does. His father is just more strict with Alex, but he still cares about him.
He only wishes his dad was around more so they could spend more time together.
He's an only child.
Alex feels he has a closer bond with his mom. To him, she cares about him more because she is home more, where in all honesty, they both care about him.
He does, however, feel scared around his mother if she is mad at him, and will try to get on her good side. Though he has done this so much, she can see through it.
He doesn't have any pets, but wants a dog.
He's eight and doesn't know any better, so yes.
Ew, no. Cheese only. Don't ruin pizza.
Cereal.
HECK YEAH! Mr. Pterodactyl, who's name Terry
Mac and cheese
He's known Samantha Stables since he was born.
He met Nicole Wolfe through his secret school club.
In kindergarten through 2nd grade he was very anti-social and shy, as most new kids are. But his was to the EXTREME. He wouldn’t make eye contact with anyone, during lunch he wouldn’t even sit at a table, he would curl himself in the fetal position in the corner and eat, then teachers would have to coax or bribe him out so he’d come back to class. In school he’d have a breakdown nearly everyday. This cycle continues up until 2nd grade when he met his best friend. He finally had the feeling of belonging!
He is in 2nd grade.
December 17, 2010.
Samantha Stables is a big role model for him, as he wants to learn how so stays relatively calm during stressful times
He tries his best to respect authority - and almost fears them - but occasionally his stress levels will be so high that he snaps.

He doesn't read much, but his mom has read him "The World According to Humphrey" and now he loves those books.
