Bellamy "Bel" Norton
Bumblebee, Momo
Protagonist
28
Female
She got her hair cut short quite recently, so now it sits in a mid-neck sort of bob. She doesn't have bangs anymore either, electing to sweep them aside to more easily keep them out of her face. Despite the low effort required to keep her hair well-kept, she still ends up opening shop most days with terrible bedhead.
Light auburn, cooler than most natural and fiery redheads.
5'2"
154 lbs
She has a mole behind her right ear and various freckles across her nose. Her fingernails are chewed to the quick and her lips are noticeably pink.
She has a rather short and stocky build. Her shoulders are broader than most, making her look "a bit brutish" as her mother would tell her. Her hips are wide, and her torso matches. She's had many suitors turn her away.
Fairer than most of her middleclass peers, as she keeps inside all day, but darker than some upperclass people as well. She has pockmarks on her cheeks and a large, red nose, Her skin, as a whole would look better if she washed her face more often.
Quite human, thank you very much
Not quite brown, but good enough. It's more yellow than anything, with bits of reddish brown in there as well, I'm sure.
None
She's really loud and abrasive, she can't hold a tune to save her life, she's very stubborn and hard-headed, and she feels uncomfortable talking about super emotional events and heavy topics. She also sucks at cooking, so she survives off tavern food or Ruie's food, which is much better in her opinion.
She bites her nails and picks at them when she's nervous or frustrated. When she's absentmindedly thinking, which is a lot, she'll fiddle with a strand of hair near her left ear.
A need to make something of herself, to make herself recognizable, and be able to tell herself one day that she did good and that she doesn't need to try so hard anymore. She doesn't need to be perfect, but she needs to be satisfied, which is why she's constantly doing things and trying to make herself heard. She needs validation for the work she's done.
She finds a lot of people really annoying. She feels uncomfortable around other races/creatures, especially exotic ones, but so long as they are paying customers, she has no qualms about being polite to them.
She can dance, she's a very nimble and deft tinkerer and engineer, she's a very fast reader, and is a decent salesperson. She's been told she's very good at impressions and has become quite adept at hunting, now that she's out in the wild more often. Her crossbow also helps.
She reads and tinkers around, obviously, she likes to crack jokes, and she likes to jokingly pick on Ruie as well, because she gets so touchy about a lot of things. She also likes sculpting, though she's not very good at it. She keeps a journal as well, and most of it is incoherent thoughts, but it does help her keep her thoughts straight sometimes.

The Logician-

She prides herself on her creativity and unique perspective. She tends to speak thoughts that aren't fully developed, and kinda pisses people off. She's cluttered and all over the place, both mentally and in real life. She is constantly thinking about something or doing something, maybe not actively pondering, but mentally running through things. It takes a lot to get her to slow down.
She also tends to find people annoying because they don't talk about interesting things or they get too emotional. And not that she's rude either, she's very polite to people she doesn't know, but if she knows you and doesn't have a vested interest in you, she gets bored with you very quickly and will often act distracted and kind of zone out of conversations.
She's not a bedrock of emotional support, but she can help you find a solution to an emotional problem. She will try to give some comfort if you come to her, though it may be clumsy and ill-placed.
She's always second-guessing what she does and often worries too much about whether what she's done is satisfying or not, which eventually ends up with her in a rut of dissatisfaction before she pulls herself away again with a new project or idea. Thus, her back room/work room is filled with half-finished or discarded projects.
The third Thursday of Oakfrost (Mid-November).
She was raised in a two room living space above the pawnshop, which her parents got by working odd jobs and renting out the pawnshop before moving into the living space above.
Her parents were both present in her childhood, though they grew more emotionally detached as they got older. Her mother married young and her dad married old, and by the time Bel was about 10, her parents were already tired with her. They became distant and refused to talk about most issues that plagued their family emotionally. They were always arguing, about the shop, and about Bel, but also about the shade of green one decided to wear that day and how that was the ugliest color under the sun go take it off. But most arguments were quickly forgotten as soon as they were over. Tensions grew higher as Bel grew older, and eventually her father ran off with a young and buxom bar wench when she was 12, and her mom died of grief a year later, leaving the shop and the living space to Bel.
She used to be more polite with customers, but after 14 years, you sort of get frustrated with most folks. She is, however, stellar at opening on time, something her parents were always lenient on.
Over the years, she's learned not to question what comes in. With all these magical, and sometimes illegal, items coming through her door, she's safer is she minds her own business.
She takes anything and everything, no matter the value, not only because she doesn't care, but because she can't tell the difference. So many enchanted items once owned by prominent political characters. Who were they? She doesn't know. Anything will sell in this economy. And if its broken, she's able to fix it. It's the perfect set up.
She was taught basic history and how to read and write by her parents, but their knowledge of the latter was sort of sub par, so her writing skills are simplistic. However, she reads a lot so she was able to pick up a lot. She knows her way around most any device or gadget, and she's a fairly decent jewelry repairer. She's the typical Renaissance woman when it comes to random in depth knowledge about very specific things.
She had a green and crippled parakeet that lived above the welcome sign in the shop, until it died when she was about 7 or 8, the parakeet being greedy, curmudgeonly, and roughly the age of 85 in bird years.

She'll say gold for a joke, but her favorite color is dark green.
The Rainbow Snapper, a multi-colored and magical fish said to be found in the oceans along the Southern Isles. She's never seen one, but she's read about them and seen supposed pictures of them and they look amazing. She's always had a fascination with fish, if we're being honest.
Used to be a sling she had when she was a kid, but she's become quite agile with a crossbow. She's named her favorite one, a sturdy maple embossed with the stamp of a long-dead adventurer, Susan.
A little carving of a fish that her mother made her when she was little. It has life-like scales and vaguely smells of bacon. It reminds her of home.
Doey's famous deer head sliders down at the Blue Rag Tavern. They've been hiking up the prices since a prominent lord came and visited them, apparently, so now she can only afford it on special occasions, but it's worth it. They're delicious. The spices are just the best.
Owner of a pawn shop and bizarre goods store.
She's very nonplus about politics. She thinks the current lord is just fine, as he hasn't raised the taxes since the last lord. And she knows it's been a good year at court, because no knights have come marching down from the local stronghold claiming they're here for "extra protection", as if those pansy-footed nobles are going to do anything.
She's not into big, all powerful gods, per se, but she does know that souls go to the spirit world when they die, and she does know the general structure of the spirit world. After all, she's best friends with a spirit. On everyday terms, she's more content dealing with terrestrial magic than extraterrestrial.
