Had a pretty normal life until her mother died and her father broke. He snapped and became an abusive alcoholic drug addict. He frequently beats and sexually abuses his daughter, causing her to be scarred in more ways than one. She doesn't talk much so no one knows anything about her or what she's been through.

She actually has 8 tattoos. 7 on her back and 1 on her right wrist. 6 of those 7 are the faction symbols from Divergent in two columns of 3 on each side of her back. The 7th is a quote which goes diagonally from the bottom left of her back to her right shoulder. It says 'Body scars fade, battle scars don't' And the last tattoo on her wrist is a heart monitor pulse with a black heart in the middle. Does that make sense? Do you know what I'm talking about?
